Initially founded in 1961 as a privately-held company, Presto became publicly owned in 1972. From 1978 through 1985, Presto was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company. Between 1988 and 2000, we operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Reynolds Metals Company, which became a subsidiary of Alcoa Inc. in 2000. In 2008 Presto was owned by Rank Group Limited.

Reynolds Consumer Products was formed in 2010 as a new consumer products company with strong legacy brands, including Reynolds Wrap, Reynolds Kitchens, Hefty, Alcan, Diamond, and Presto. Reynolds Consumer Products' shares began trading publicly on January 31, 2020, and currently trade on Nasdaq under the symbol "REYN".
